Peter and the Starcatchers reimagines how Peter Pan came to be. Co-written by Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry, the series explains how an unnamed orphan boy gained his powers, how he arrived in Never Land, and how Captain Hook became his enemy. It is an origin story told with humor and genuine adventure.
The five books were published between 2004 and 2011. The collaboration between Pearson and Barry works well – Pearson brings the plotting and Barry brings the wit. The series was adapted into a Tony-winning Broadway play, which introduced the story to an even wider audience.
