Paul Levine’s anthology appearances span from 1997 to 2012 and cover a range of crime and mystery writing. The most notable is Naked Came the Manatee, a collaborative novel where thirteen South Florida crime writers each contributed a chapter. The book was originally serialized in the Miami Herald and later published as a novel. Levine’s co-authors on that project included Carl Hiaasen, Elmore Leonard, and Dave Barry.
The remaining anthologies include Mystery: Crime & Punishment from the 2009 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the 2011 collection Intrigue, and Writing Crime Fiction from 2012. These collections give readers a chance to sample Levine’s shorter work alongside other crime fiction authors. Levine, a former trial lawyer who also wrote for the CBS series JAG, brings courtroom experience and legal knowledge to his fiction.
