The Nina Wilde & Eddie Chase series is a long-running adventure thriller franchise written by Andy McDermott, with nineteen books published between 2007 and 2025. The series pairs Nina Wilde, an American archaeologist with a talent for finding things that are supposed to stay hidden, with Eddie Chase, a tough ex-SAS soldier who keeps them both alive when things go sideways. Their first outing, The Hunt for Atlantis, established the formula of ancient mysteries, globe-trotting action, and high-stakes danger that has carried across nearly two decades of books.
Each novel takes on a different legendary artifact or lost civilization. Atlantis, Hercules, Excalibur, and Valhalla all make appearances over the course of the series. The books are meant to be read in order, as Nina and Eddie’s relationship and personal lives develop alongside the standalone adventure in each entry. If you grew up watching Indiana Jones movies and wished there were more of them, this series will scratch that itch.
