The Misty River Romance series by Becky Wade is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The five books, published between 2020 and 2022, follow connected heroines as they find love in and around the fictional Misty River community.
This was Wade’s longest-running series at five books, and it gave her room to develop a detailed small-town setting. The mountain backdrop and tight community give the series a distinct atmosphere compared to her Texas-set earlier works. Reading in order is recommended, as characters from earlier books continue to appear.
