Misadventures in Matrimony was one of Shana Galen’s earlier historical romance series. The first three books came out in 2006 and 2007, with a fourth book added in 2014. Each story features a couple who end up engaged or married under unusual circumstances.
The series has a lighter, more comedic tone than some of Galen’s later work. No Man’s Bride kicked things off, followed by Good Groom Hunting and Blackthorne’s Bride in quick succession. The Pirate Takes a Bride arrived years later but fits the same playful spirit.
