Jaye Ford’s Miranda Jack series currently spans two novels: Already Dead (2015) and Already Gone (2022). The books follow Miranda Jack, a woman whose past experiences with danger have left their mark but have not broken her. When new threats emerge, she draws on hard-won survival instincts to protect herself and the people around her.
The gap between the two books gave Ford time to develop Miranda’s story in different directions while keeping the psychological tension that defines her writing. Both novels work as standalone thrillers but gain extra depth when read together, as the second book builds on the emotional groundwork of the first.
