Melissa Yi’s standalone novels range across genres, from the early works The List (2011) and Wolf Ice (2011) to the romantic Mr. Chef & Ms. Librarian (2013).
Three of the four books came out in 2011, making it Yi’s most productive year for standalone fiction. Wolf Ice carries a different tone from the lighter Mr. Chef & Ms. Librarian (2013), which leans into romance. Dancing Through the Chaos (2011) rounds out the early batch. None of these novels connect to Yi’s Hope Sze medical mystery series, so they can be read as fully independent stories.
