Megan Hart has published sixteen short story collections between 2004 and 2023. The earliest entries, From Distant Shores (2004), Unexpected (2006), and Wish List (2006), kicked off nearly two decades of shorter fiction. A busy stretch in 2010 added three more titles, including After Class & All You Can Eat and Pot of Gold & Emerald Isle.
From 2016 onward, Hart kept a steady pace with works like Bound by the Night, A Heart Full of Stars, and Strangers of the Night all appearing in 2016-2017. The later collections, Use Somebody and What the Night Brings (both 2019) through to Kingdoms of Light & Dark (2023), show that short fiction has stayed a regular part of her output. Each collection stands on its own, so readers can pick up any title without needing to start from the beginning.
