The McBride Vendetta is a six-book series published between 2013 and 2021, following a family whose conflicts turn violent and whose grudges span years. Fry introduces the McBrides and their world, and subsequent books trace the fallout as the family’s enemies and internal tensions push them toward increasingly dangerous confrontations.
The series has a grittier tone than Dounaeva’s later domestic thrillers, with more overt violence and a crime fiction sensibility. It represents her earlier work before she shifted toward standalone psychological thrillers.
