Maximum Ride follows six kids who can fly thanks to avian DNA spliced into their genes. Max leads the flock — Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel — as they flee the scientists who created them and the wolf-hybrid Erasers sent to recapture them.
The Angel Experiment (2005) introduced the flock’s escape and their search for answers about their origins. Patterson continued the series through eight more books, raising the stakes from a personal survival story to a global conflict. Maximum Ride Forever (2015) concluded the main series.
