Magical Midlife Malfunction is Keira Blackwood’s most recent midlife paranormal series, launched in 2024 with Never Kiss a Werebunny, a title that pretty much explains everything you need to know about the series’ priorities. The books follow a heroine who finds herself entangled with supernatural creatures at an age when she had assumed her life was more or less figured out, and discovers it very much was not.
The “Never” titles do a lot of work here. Each book names a rule the protagonist will absolutely be breaking before the last page, which gives the series a running joke structure that also doubles as a plot promise.
