The original Magic Tree House books follow Jack and Annie on adventures that take them to different times and places. Each book is short enough for beginning chapter book readers but packed with enough historical detail and adventure to keep them turning pages.
With forty books in the main series (and counting), there is plenty of material for young readers who get hooked on the formula. The books work well as both classroom reading and independent reading for kids who are ready for something beyond picture books.
