The Love Undercover series follows detectives and undercover cops in a rough neighborhood as they clean up crime and fall in love along the way. Run the Risk (2012) sets the tone with a detective hiding his identity from the woman he’s falling for. Bare It All, Getting Rowdy, and Dash of Peril continued the series through 2014, each featuring a new couple tied to the same precinct.
After an eight-year gap, Foster returned to the series with Marcus in 2022, giving fans one more story set in this world. The books share recurring characters, and events from earlier installments affect later ones, so reading in order provides the best experience.
