The Looking Glass Trilogy is another cross-pen-name series from Jayne Ann Krentz, with each book published under a different name and set in a different time period. In Too Deep (as Jayne Ann Krentz) is set in the present, Quicksilver (as Amanda Quick) takes place in the Victorian era, and Canyons of Night (as Jayne Castle) is set on the futuristic world of Harmony. The Scargill Cove Case Files serves as a companion novella.
All three novels are connected through the Arcane Society, a secret organization of people with psychic talents that appears across many of Krentz’s books. Each story pairs a hero and heroine with complementary abilities who must solve a mystery while navigating their growing attraction. Readers familiar with the larger Arcane Society universe will recognize recurring themes and organizations, but the trilogy also works as a self-contained reading experience.
