The Lone Star Brides series is set in 1890s Texas and follows three women whose paths intersect as they search for safety, love, and a new beginning. In A Sensible Arrangement, Marty Olson answers an advertisement for a “Lone Star bride” and travels to Denver to marry a stranger. A Moment in Time follows Alice Chesterfield, a woman fleeing a traumatic past who seeks refuge on a Texas ranch. A Matter of Heart centers on Jessica Atherton, whose plans for marriage fell apart when her intended groom married someone else.
Tracie Peterson published all three books in 2014. The series connects its characters so that reading in order gives the full picture of how their lives overlap.
