The Lee Coburn series starts with Lethal (2011), one of Sandra Brown’s most fast-paced thrillers. Coburn is a man on the run who takes a young widow and her daughter hostage, but nothing about him is what it seems. The book tears through its plot at high speed, peeling back layers of conspiracy and corruption in a small Louisiana town.
Honor & … (2017) picks up with Coburn again. Together the two books offer the kind of tightly wound suspense Brown does best, with a morally complicated hero, a strong female lead, and plenty of twists. If you like Sandra Brown’s suspense novels and want a connected pair of books rather than a standalone, the Lee Coburn duology is a solid choice.
