L.A. Banks’ Crimson Moon is a six-book paranormal series focused on werewolves and pack dynamics. Beginning with Bad Blood (2007), the series follows werewolf characters through supernatural threats and romantic entanglements, running through Never Cry Werewolf (2010).
The series ran alongside Banks’ more famous Vampire Huntress Legend books, giving her two concurrent paranormal properties during this period. Where the Vampire Huntress books leaned toward urban fantasy with a large mythological scope, the Crimson Moon series stays focused on werewolf pack politics and the romantic tension between its leads. Bite the Bullet (2008) and Cursed to Death (2009) deepen the pack’s conflicts, while Undead on Arrival (2009) raises the stakes with undead threats crossing into werewolf territory.
Left for Undead and Never Cry Werewolf, both from 2010, close out the series. Banks passed away in 2011, and the Crimson Moon books remain a complete six-book arc. Readers who enjoy werewolf-focused paranormal romance with strong female characters will find this series worth tracking down.
