The KGI series by Maya Banks follows the Kelly family and their private operations group, Kelly Group International. The six Kelly brothers are all military veterans who run KGI as a covert organization handling rescue missions, protection details, and other high-risk assignments.
The series begins with The Darkest Hour (2010), in which team leader Ethan Kelly discovers that his wife, believed dead for a year, is actually alive and held captive. Each subsequent book focuses on a different Kelly brother or team member, pairing action-packed missions with a central romance. The series ran for fourteen books through 2021.
