Journey To Star Wars: The Last Jedi brought together multiple authors and formats in 2017 to build out the Star Wars universe ahead of the film’s release. The lineup includes Delilah S. Dawson’s novel Phasma, which explores the backstory of Captain Phasma, and Ken Liu’s The Legends of Luke Skywalker, which presents stories about Luke told by passengers on a ship.
The series also includes the Canto Bight anthology, the Captain Phasma comic miniseries, Star Wars Kirigami (a paper-craft book), the Stormtroopers: Beyond the Armor visual guide, and other companion volumes. Together they filled in corners of the Star Wars galaxy that the films only hinted at.
