John D. MacDonald was a prolific short story writer who published hundreds of stories in pulp magazines during the 1940s and 1950s. Six collections gather some of the best of this work, starting with The Good Old Stuff in 1961.
Other collections include End of the Tiger and Other Stories (1966), Seven (1971), and More Good Old Stuff (1984). These stories cover crime, suspense, and science fiction, and they show the range MacDonald had before he became known primarily for his novels.
