Jody Lynn Nye has been a frequent contributor to multi-author anthologies since the early 1990s. Her short fiction appears in 50 different collections spanning science fiction, fantasy, horror, and humor. Many of these are themed anthologies built around specific concepts, from dragons and unicorns to steampunk fairy tales and alien invasions.

Some of the earliest entries on this list are shared-world military science fiction anthologies like The Far Stars War (1990), The Siege of Arsita (1991), and Battlestations (1992). As her career progressed, Nye became a regular in humorous genre fiction, appearing in multiple volumes of the Unidentified Funny Objects series as well as collections like Funny Horror and Little Green Men–Attack! She also contributed to tie-in anthologies such as The Further Adventures of Xena: Warrior Princess and Totally Charmed.

Nye has edited several of these anthologies herself, including Don’t Forget Your Spacesuit, Dear. Her anthology work shows the range of her writing, from military SF to light comedy to dark fantasy, and her stories have appeared alongside work by many of the biggest names in the genre over the past three decades.
