The Jansen Brothers trilogy gives each brother his own book and love story. Ten Rules for Faking It (2021) follows a woman whose on-air breakup leads to an unexpected dating competition, with her boss (one of the Jansen brothers) watching the whole thing unfold. How to Love Your Neighbor (2022) and A Guide to Being Just Friends (2023) take the other brothers through their own romantic complications.
The series has a light tone and uses familiar romance setups (fake dating, friends to lovers) with enough humor and personality in the characters to keep the formula fresh. The Jansen family dynamic adds warmth to the individual love stories.
