The Jack Dillon Dublin Tales follow former U.S. Marshal Jack Dillon, who is sent to Dublin to escort a fugitive back to the States. When the assignment goes sideways, Dillon ends up permanently stationed in Dublin with the Garda Siochana Special Detective Unit. Working alongside Detective Inspector Paddy Suel, Dillon investigates crimes ranging from mob revenge plots to missing persons cases across the city.
The series launched in 2016 with Welcome and has grown to 22 books as of 2025. Author Mike Faricy originally published the early entries under the pen name Patrick Emmett. The books blend crime fiction with humor, and while the first book should be read first to understand how Dillon ends up in Dublin, the rest of the series works well read in any order.
