The Indigo Court series follows Cicely Waters, a wind witch who can hear the whispers of the wind and shift into owl form. When she returns to her hometown of New Forest, Washington, she finds it besieged by Myst, the queen of the Indigo Court, a faction of Vampiric Fae who feed on both blood and life force.
The six-book series has a darker, more atmospheric tone than much of Galenorn’s other work. The winter imagery and Fae court politics give it a fairy-tale quality, though the violence and romantic elements keep it firmly in urban fantasy territory. The series ran from 2010 to 2015.
