Hitched by G.K. DeRosa puts a supernatural spin on reality TV dating shows. The five books, all published in 2019, follow the competition from The Bachelorette through The Top Ten, The Final Five, and ultimately The One.
The premise works because it takes something familiar — a televised dating competition — and fills it with paranormal contestants. Vampires, shifters, and other supernatural beings competing for love on camera gives the series a built-in source of conflict. The Bachelorette sets the rules, and each subsequent book narrows the field.
All five books came out in 2019, so the series reads quickly from start to finish. DeRosa followed it up with the seven-book Hitched Lives spinoff starting in 2023. Readers should start with The Bachelorette before moving to the later series, since Hitched Lives builds on the world established here.
