Hayley Powell is a food and cocktail columnist for the Island Times newspaper in Bar Harbor, Maine. She has a talent for cooking and an unfortunate knack for being around when people turn up dead. The series mixes recipes, small-town gossip, and murder investigations in a lighthearted cozy mystery format.
Lee Hollis created the series, and most of the books are his solo work. Several holiday-themed anthologies pair him with Peggy Ehrhart and Leslie Meier, with each author writing a separate mystery novella. The series has been running since 2012 and continues to add new entries regularly.
