The Go-Giver series began in 2007 with the original parable by Bob Burg and John David Mann. The book tells the story of Joe, a struggling go-getter who meets Pindar, a legendary consultant known as the Chairman. Over the course of a week, Pindar introduces Joe to five successful people who each share one of the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success. The core idea is simple: shifting your focus from getting to giving leads to better results in business and in life.
The original book became a Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek bestseller, selling over a million copies and turning “go-giver” into a widely recognized term in business circles. Follow-up books apply the same philosophy to specific topics. Go-Givers Sell More covers sales, The Go-Giver Leader tackles management, The Go-Giver Influencer addresses persuasion, and The Go-Giver Marriage brings the principles into personal relationships.
