The Galactic Gladiators series by Anna Hackett is set on the desert planet of Carthago, where warriors fight in gladiatorial arenas. Human women abducted from Earth find themselves in this harsh world, and each book pairs one of them with a gladiator hero — from the noble Gladiator to the fierce Barbarian to the cybernetic Cyborg.
The 15-book series, published between 2016 and 2019, builds an alien society around the arena culture while delivering action-packed romance. The series proved popular enough to spawn a sequel series, Galactic Gladiators: House of Rone, which continues the story with new characters in the same setting.
