Frog Kingdom consists of a single book, Kissing Frogs (2004), by Laura Marie Altom. Published by Dorchester through their Love Spell imprint, this is one of the few times Altom stepped away from her usual Harlequin contemporary romance to try something with a paranormal twist. The book is a playful riff on The Frog Prince fairy tale, mixing romantic comedy with a bit of magic.
This was an unusual entry in Altom’s catalog, which by 2004 already included dozens of straightforward Harlequin titles. She was deep into her Baby Boom, Fatherhood, and Baby to Be series at the time. Kissing Frogs offered something lighter and stranger, a departure that fans of her more traditional romances might find refreshing. It remains the only book in the Frog Kingdom series.
