At His Mercy opens the series with a professor-student romance, followed by His to Claim with its enemies-to-lovers plot set against corporate corruption. For His Pleasure, the final book, follows a parole officer and a wrongfully convicted man and received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. While each novel features a different central couple, the books share a connected world with recurring characters. A novella, One Naughty Night (2018), is also set in the Forbidden Lovers world.
