The Fogg Lake trilogy by Jayne Ann Krentz (published under the Krentz name for its contemporary setting) is a paranormal romantic suspense series released between 2020 and 2022. The series is built around the residents of Fogg Lake, a small town whose population was exposed to a mysterious chemical during a secret government experiment. Decades later, the descendants of those original residents have psychic abilities they keep hidden from the outside world.
The Vanishing (2020) starts the trilogy when a woman with paranormal senses finds a dead body and realizes it is connected to the old Fogg Lake experiments. All the Colors of Night (2021) shifts to a new couple while deepening the conspiracy, and Lightning in a Mirror (2022) brings the overarching threat to a conclusion. Each book works as a standalone romance, but the larger plot builds across all three volumes.
Krentz has been writing paranormal romantic suspense for decades under her various pen names, and the Fogg Lake books represent some of her more recent work in the genre. Readers who enjoy the mix of romance, psychic abilities, and suspense that runs through her Arcane Society novels will find similar ground here.
