Flesh and Fell represents some of Gregory Ashe’s earliest published work, a fantasy trilogy that began with The Dew of Flesh in 2011. The series draws on dark mythology and coming-of-age themes, establishing the blend of genre fiction and character depth that would define his later work.
The Harvest God and The Mourning Spring, both published in 2014, completed the trilogy. While darker and more fantastical than his mystery series, Flesh and Fell shows the roots of Ashe’s interest in complex relationships and morally ambiguous storytelling.
