Fear Street Seniors is a 12-book series by R.L. Stine that follows a class of Shadyside High seniors through their final year of school. Published between 1998 and 1999, the series begins with Let’s Party and ends with Graduation Day. Someone (or something) is killing off members of the senior class one by one, and each book moves the timeline forward through the school year as the body count rises.
This series differs from the main Fear Street line because it has recurring characters and an ongoing storyline. Readers follow the same group of teens across all 12 books, watching relationships form, secrets surface, and suspicions shift as classmates keep turning up dead. The structure mirrors the school year itself, with books timed around events like football season, spring break, prom, and graduation.
Fear Street Seniors came out near the end of the original Fear Street run, when Stine was expanding the franchise into several connected sub-series. It shares a similar format with other late-90s YA serial horror, where each monthly installment ended on a hook to keep readers buying the next volume. For readers who want a Fear Street experience with more continuity than the standalone main series, Seniors is one of the better options in the franchise.
