Fear Street: Fear Hall is a two-book mini-series by R.L. Stine, published in 1997 near the end of the original Fear Street run. The story moves the action from Shadyside High to a college setting, centering on a dormitory called Fear Hall that sits on Fear Street. Hope, the main character, is a college freshman whose life starts falling apart as people around her are attacked or killed.
The Beginning introduces Hope and her circle of friends at Fear Hall, establishing the mystery of who is behind the violent incidents. The Conclusion wraps up the storyline with one of Stine’s signature twist endings. Both books need to be read together since they form a single story split across two volumes.
Fear Hall is notable within the franchise for being one of the few Fear Street stories set in a college rather than a high school. The slightly older characters and dorm setting give it a different atmosphere from the typical Fear Street book. At just two volumes, it is one of the shortest Fear Street sub-series, making it a quick read for fans working through the franchise.
