Rosie Clarke’s Emma Trilogy opens with Emma in 1999 and picks up the story again in Emma’s War (2000), following characters and events across the two early books. There is then a fifteen-year gap before Emma’s Duty arrived in 2015 to close out the trilogy.
Reading the three books in publication order — Emma, Emma’s War, then Emma’s Duty — gives the clearest picture of how events and characters develop, so starting from the beginning is the best approach.
