Edwina Currie’s non-fiction spans her career in public life. Life Lines (1989) and What Women Want (1990) address health and social issues, while Three Line Quips (1992) collects political wit. Dorothy (1991) is a biography.
The diaries are the most significant works in this collection. Published in two volumes covering 1987-1992 and 1992-1997, they provide an insider’s account of Conservative politics during the Thatcher and Major years. The first volume’s revelation of her affair with John Major made it front-page news across Britain.
