E. Lockhart has written six standalone young adult novels alongside her series work. These range from Fly on the Wall (2006), about a girl who wishes she could be invisible in the boys’ locker room, to Again Again (2020), which explores parallel versions of a boarding school student’s summer.
Her most acclaimed standalone is The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks (2008), a National Book Award finalist about a girl who infiltrates a secret society at her prep school. Other titles include Dramarama (2007), set at a summer theater camp, and Genuine Fraud (2017), a psychological thriller told in reverse chronological order.
