The Dream Trilogy is set along the Monterey coast of California, where Margo, Kate, and Laura grew up together at Templeton House. Daring to Dream follows Margo, a former model rebuilding her life after a scandal, while Holding the Dream centers on the driven, workaholic Kate, and Finding the Dream brings the trilogy full circle with Laura, the Templeton daughter whose perfect life fell apart.
The three women open a consignment shop called Pretenses, and a legend about gold hidden in the nearby cliffs ties the books together. Roberts uses the California setting and the women’s deep friendship to anchor a series that is as much about self-discovery and female solidarity as it is about romance.
