The Stonetellers by Jean Rabe is a Dragonlance trilogy that takes the unusual approach of telling the story from the goblin point of view. The Rebellion (2007) opens the trilogy as goblins rise up against their oppressors. Death March (2008) follows the goblins on a harsh journey, and Goblin Nation (2009) sees them trying to carve out a homeland.
This trilogy stands apart from most Dragonlance fiction because it centers on creatures typically cast as villains or comic relief. Rabe gives the goblins their own culture, oral history tradition (the titular Stonetellers), and political struggles. The result is a Dragonlance story that feels different from the standard hero-quest format.
