Donald J. Trump’s non-fiction books span nearly three decades of publishing, from The Art of the Deal in 1987 through Crippled America in 2015. The early books focus almost entirely on business and real estate, with Trump sharing his strategies for dealmaking, negotiation, and building wealth.
The Art of the Deal, co-written with Tony Schwartz, remains his most recognized title. It was followed by Surviving At The Top (1990) and The Art of the Comeback (1997), which covered his financial setbacks and recovery in the early 1990s. In the mid-2000s, he published several books at a rapid pace during the height of The Apprentice’s popularity, including How To Get Rich, Think Like A Billionaire, and Think Big and Kick Ass (co-written with Bill Zanker).
His later non-fiction books moved toward political commentary. Time to Get Tough (2011) addressed policy positions on immigration and trade, while Crippled America (2015) was published during his first presidential campaign. He also collaborated with Robert Kiyosaki on two business books, Why We Want You To Be Rich (2006) and Midas Touch (2012).
