The Denise Cleever Thrillers are Claire McNab’s espionage series, running alongside the Carol Ashton books during the early 2000s. The series began with Murder Undercover in 1999 and ran for six books, finishing with Murder at Random in 2005.
Denise Cleever is an undercover agent for ASIO, Australia’s intelligence service, and the books draw on the world of covert operations rather than conventional policing. The thriller format gives McNab more room for action and international settings than the procedural structure of the Ashton books. Start with Murder Undercover and read in publication order.
