The DCI Hanlon series by Alex Coombs follows a detective through eight crime thrillers published between 2014 and 2017. The series opened with Time To Die in 2014, followed by Cold Revenge (2015), A Hard Woman to Kill (2015), and An Incidental Death (2016).
Several of the books have been reissued under different titles for different markets, with Time To Die also published as The Stolen Child and Cold Revenge as The Innocent Girl. The series features a tough female detective and darker crime themes than Coombs’ later cozy mystery work.
