Dardanos, Colorado is Calle J. Brookes’s paranormal romance series set in a small Colorado town populated by supernatural beings. The series started in 2011 with The Blood King and has grown to nine books. Each installment follows a different couple drawn from the town’s community of vampires, shifters, demons, and other paranormal creatures.
The books were mostly published between 2011 and 2013 before Brookes shifted focus to her romantic suspense series. She returned to the world in 2024 with Mated to the Wolf. Several of the earlier books have been re-released under alternate titles, which is why some entries in the reading order show dual names. For example, The Seer’s Strength was later repackaged as Fated to Her Vampire.
Readers who enjoy small-town paranormal romance with fated-mate pairings will find a lot to like here. The stories are relatively self-contained romances, but the shared setting means recurring characters pop up across different books.
