Daniel H. Wilson has contributed to numerous anthologies over his career. His short fiction appears in collections covering a wide range of speculative fiction, from Diverse Energies (2012) and Carbide Tipped Pens (2014) to A People’s Future of the United States (2019) and New Suns 2 (2023). He also co-edited Robot Uprisings (2014), which brought together short stories about machines turning on their creators.
Wilson’s anthology work shows up in some notable places, including The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2015 and The Mad Scientist’s Guide to World Domination (2013). Press Start to Play (2015) collected stories inspired by video games. These anthologies give readers a chance to see Wilson’s short fiction alongside other well-known authors in the genre, and they reflect his range as a writer beyond the robot-focused novels he is best known for.
