Dangerous Journeys is Gary Gygax’s tabletop RPG system created after he left TSR and Dungeons & Dragons. The Mythus core rulebook (1992) presented a skill-based game system set on a fantasy version of Earth called Ærth. The series also includes three novels — The Anubis Murders (1989), The Samarkand Solution (1993), and Death in Delhi (1993) — which follow a magician-detective solving crimes across ancient civilizations.
The game system was discontinued after legal disputes with TSR, but the novels remain accessible adventure fiction set in Gygax’s distinctive fantasy-historical settings.
