The Crystal Cave trilogy collects three linked novellas starring Ruby Wilcox, China Bayles’ best friend and the owner of the Crystal Cave new-age shop in Pecan Springs, Texas. Ruby has appeared throughout the China Bayles series as a psychic with abilities she often tries to downplay. These novellas put her front and center and let her gift drive the stories.

In NoBODY, Ruby is haunted by a recurring nightmare about a woman abducted on the local hike-and-bike trail. SomeBODY Else finds her at the Mystic Creek Harvest Festival, where she stumbles into dangerous knowledge about a murder. Out of BODY takes place over Halloween weekend, when a crime reporter brings Ruby a disturbing story about a serial killer. The three novellas are connected by a single plot thread that builds across the trilogy, and together they run about one and a half times the length of a standard China Bayles novel.
