The Colonization series continues the story begun in Harry Turtledove’s Worldwar books. Set roughly two decades after the initial alien invasion, the Race’s colonization fleet has arrived to begin settling on Earth. The problem is that humanity has advanced much faster than the aliens expected, and the political situation is more complicated than a simple conquest.
The five books trace the growing tensions between humans and the Race as both sides develop nuclear weapons and jockey for position. The series bridges the gap between the original Worldwar novels and the concluding book Homeward Bound.
