The Chris Sinclair series follows a San Antonio defense attorney through five novels published between 1998 and 2005. Angel of Death (1998) introduces Sinclair in a case involving a death that may not be what it appears. Afterimage, Sliver Moon, Grudge Match, and Running with the Dead continue the series with new cases that test Sinclair’s legal skills and personal convictions.
Jay Brandon’s own career as a trial lawyer gives the courtroom scenes in these books a level of procedural detail that sets them apart from more formulaic legal thrillers. The series is his longest, giving readers five books with the same protagonist.
