Alongside his graphic novels, Charles Burns has produced a number of illustration and art books that highlight his distinctive visual style. These range from collaborations with other artists to limited-edition print collections.
Facetasm (1997) is a visual collaboration with fellow artist Gary Panter. One Eye (2007) and Permagel (2008) are collections of Burns’s illustration work, with Permagel printed as a large-format art book in double black ink. Johnny 23 (2010) is a small-press art zine, and Vortex (2016) is a companion art book to the Last Look Trilogy containing unpublished plates and supplementary material.
