C.H. Admirand’s two standalone novels show the range of her interests beyond series fiction. Rainbow of Destiny is a sweet Irish-flavored romance with supernatural elements, where a woman named Bridget O’Halloran wishes on a magic rainbow over Lake Killarney and nearly drowns before being rescued by Duncan Garvey. Faeries and a ghost conspire to bring the pair together.
So Others May Live goes in a completely different direction. It follows USCG Rescue Swimmer James Purcell, who jumps out of helicopters for a living, and Bronwyn Griffith, a woman he rescues from a sailboat in distress. The military setting gives the book a different tone from Admirand’s usual romance fare, though the core focus on two stubborn people finding love remains the same.
